Q: Which meetings does ECCO consider as an "international meeting"?

A: Please be informed that an "international meeting" is considered by ECCO as a meeting with an international audience (e.g.: UEGW, DDW, ECCO Congress), whereas a national meeting is a meeting with local audience.

Q: Does ECCO allow encores? If yes, what is your encore policy?

A: ECCO does not allow encore abstracts or abstracts that have been previously presented at an international meeting.

Q: Can one abstract be submitted for multiple topics?

A: When submitting an abstract, it is only possible to choose one topic. Therefore, please decide upon the topic that fits best.

Q: Are references allowed?

A: References are allowed, however, please note that the body of the abstract should not exceed a maximum of 2.750 characters.

Q: Is there a limit as to how many abstracts an author can present?

A: No, there is no limit on the submission number per author.

Q: Is there an author limit per abstract?

Q: Does the submitting author also have to be the presenting author?

A: The submitting author does not need to be the presenting author.

Q: When are dispositions expected to be released?

A: We aim to notify all submitting and presenting authors by December 23, 2021 about the result of their submission. All accepted abstracts will be published on our website Mid-January 2022.

Q: Can the presenting author be changed after the abstract submission deadline?

A: Yes, that is possible up until December 30, 2021. Please notify the ECCO Office (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) as soon as possible.

Q: Is there a Powerpoint template?

A: Yes, in case you would like to use it, please download it here.

Q: Are quick response (QR) codes allowed for placement on the congress posters?

A: QR codes are permitted, given that these link solely to electronic versions of the respective abstract.

Q: Do you have an ECCO logo that can be used on a poster presentation?

A: A special logo has been designed for this purpose - please follow the link in the abstract acceptance notification or download it here.
