Airport information

The Vienna International Airport is located 12 km from the Vienna City Center and it takes around 20 - 30  minutes by car or taxi (depending on the traffic) to the center.

Airport Public Transport Service

Vienna International Airport is connected with direct trains to and from Vienna. There are several options:

City Airport Train (CAT): Brings you into the city within 16 minutes, leaves the airport 6 and 36 minutes after each hour. There are certain CAT desks in the airport building, where tickets can be purchased. Price for a single ticket: EUR 11.00 / return ticket: EUR 19.00. Regular OEBB train (S-Bahn): T he ride duration is about 30 minutes. Trains are leaving from the airport about every 10-20 minutes. Tickets are available at the platform by vending machines (credit card accepted). Price:  from EUR 4.20 (to/from Vienna including travel on entire Vienna public transport network). Buses: There are buses available from the bus terminal in front of the airport. The Vienna Airport Line ride duration is about 25 minutes to the city center. Price for a single ticket: from EUR 8.00. For more information see https://www.viennaairportlines.at/en/

Taxi: A taxi stand is located directly outside of the arrival hall. An average journey by taxi from the Vienna International Airport to the city center takes about 20-30 minutes and costs appr. EUR 37,00 one-way (incl. surcharge for the luggage).

Public transportation

Public transportation is by far the easiest way to get around the city. The Vienna buses and subways are quick, cheap and all-around excellent. Taxi service is available everywhere in the city.
