NGF-Norsk gastroenterologisk forening

NGF is the Norwegian Gastroenterological Association founded in 1965. Today NGF has 345 members of which 195 are specialists in Gastroenterology. The main aim of NGF is to maintain a high theoretical and practical standard in Norwegian gastroenterology, and to support research and education in the field. NGF has several subgroups based on field of interest; these include liver diseases, gastrointestinal ultrasonography, pancreatic diseases, inflammatory bowel disease and irritable bowel disease. NGA, a member of several major international organizations in the field of Gastroenterology and endoscopy, publishes its own journal 4 times annually with papers on clinical and basic science, general information to the members etc.
