The 22nd ECCO IBD Intensive Course for Trainees took place on February 21, 2024, in the vibrant city of Stockholm. Despite the cold and moody weather outside, the course itself was a lively and buzzing experience, filled with enthusiastic discussions and valuable insights.

A total of 98 participants from 36 countries across Europe and beyond joined the course, immersing themselves in a comprehensive update on IBD management. The programme was thoughtfully structured into three sessions, with morning lectures covering epidemiology, treatment strategies and therapeutic positioning. The innovative session on comprehensive approaches beyond therapies for IBD provided a holistic perspective.

The afternoon round table session fostered interactive discussions on practical IBD cases, enhancing participants' understanding of day-to-day care challenges. Faculty engagement was exemplary, encouraging a dynamic learning environment.

Feedback from participants was overwhelmingly positive, with a high satisfaction rating of 4.7/5. The round table case-based discussions were particularly praised for their direct interaction with faculty members.

Special thanks go to the ECCO Office, contributing speakers, faculty and the EduCom team for their dedication and effort in making this course a resounding success.
